The Nexus 1250, themost advanced monitoring product ever designed, provides the total picture of power usage and power quality for any metered point within a power distribution network allowing users to make power related decisions quickly and effectively.
High Accuracy Power Monitoring At its core, the Nexus 1250 is a three phase recording power meter with billing grade 0.04% accuracy. It also measures & records power quality parameters, including harmonics, triggers/alarms and sub-cycle transient events. It displays phasor diagrams and captures & records waveforms and disturbances and features automated CBEMA curve plotting.
Power Quality Monitoring On top of all this power monitoring functionality, the Nexus 1250 offers extensive communications capabilities that not only allow it to report its own data, but also allows it to serve as a data acquisition node, drawing and distributing information from other monitoring systems and functioning as an RTU. The Nexus 1250 has four on-board ports, each of which communicates using Modbus RTU/ASCII, DNP 3.0. Ports 3 and 4 can be used as a Modbus masterfor I/O modules.
Versatile Communications In addition, perhaps the most powerful communications capabilities of the Nexus 1250 is it's integrated Internet communications. The Ethernet interface on the 1250 offers upto 12 simultaneous Modbus/TCP sockets simultaneously.
The Nexus 1250 has a built-in web server that autmatically builds, hosts and distributes power and power quality data across the Internet to an unlimited number of users without the need for any special server-side or client-side software - which makes it great for the IT department! One meter can read the data from multiple linked meters, allowing a single point of access for an entire network or meters and can send email alarms when parameters are exceeded or events occur.
Nexus 1250 as an RTU Electro Industries offers multiple Analog and Digital I/O modules that mount externally to the Nexus. The unit supports up to 4 I/O modules using internal power. An additional power supply extends I/O capability. The master port of the Nexus eliminates the need for RTUs in many substation applications. The Nexus can poll different I/O devices, log data, and send data to a master station via Modbus or DNP 3.0 protocol. This I/O functionality is available in the Nexus at much lower costs than traditional substation RTUs.
The Nexus power monitor provides advanced logic and control on programmable limit settings. The 7000 values that the monitor measures can have limits and logic set to trigger operations. This features allows a user to configure the Nexus to be used as a control device for many applications
